The 2025 Apple TV movie from Guy Ritchie & James Vanderbilt, hit the streaming service in late May of 2025. Being a heist movie the production team made use of several tropical and foreign locations. But also made a trip to Liverpool in May of 2024, for some pivotal scenes set in London, as well as making use of some locations in London itself. So whether you're a film enthusiast, history lover or just looking for adventure yourself, these locations are sure to bring the unique charm and magic that you will love!
Greenwich Naval College, London

This grand baroque structure sitting on the bank of the River Thames, was a perfect choice for the scene between Charlotte (Natalie Portman) and the Elder (Stanley Tucci). With the historic colonnades and grand views, it is amazing to visit and allow yourself to be transported into a land of mystery. The Naval College itself has been used many times in TV shows and movies, in fact the college is celebrating 100 years of filming in 2025!

St George's Plateau, Liverpool
Even though this location only makes a brief appearance in the film with John Krasinski & Natalie Portman racing through London in their low lying car. This location was a perfect choice, with the historic grandeur of the space between St George's Hall and Lime Street Station. Standing on the plateau you can instantly see the cenotaph and lion statues which were in the background of this car chase. You will also want to check out the other productions filmed on the plateau, from Fantastic Beasts to Peaky Blinders, you can see which they choose neoclassical facade.

Exchange Flags, Liverpool
This hidden gem of a location, hidden behind the Liverpool Town Hall, was used in the car chase scene with a fair set up and a motorcycle crash stunt. The open square with the Nelson monument, provided the imposing modern offices and historic cinematic background that was a perfect stand in for London. This historical look of Liverpool Town Hall has meant that the square and small streets have been used for various period pieces.

Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool
The art gallery in the centre of Liverpool is known for its world class paintings, sculptures. and decorative art. With a stunning Victorian facade and rich deep blue galleries, the gallery helped provide a perfect filming location for the National Gallery of London. You can see the gallery rooms, where John Krasinski's heist takes place, which are located in the Renaissance galleries. The artistic backdrop helped add that charming touch of class to the movie which was amazing for the scenes which took place in the museum.
